On the 27th July 2026, Dr Anthony Fauci – the most celebrated infection-control expert in the US – appeared before a Senate hearing, ostensibly to be interrogated about his conduct during the covid era. Astonishingly, he refused to answer any questions, repeatedly responding with the statement, ‘On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment.’ What could possibly have been the reason for America’s most esteemed doctor to act like a potential felon and evoke his right to remain silent?

Fauci’s medical career has been a distinguished one. From relatively humble beginnings (his father was a pharmacist, his mother a cashier) he qualified as a physician in 1966 and entered the US Public Health Service, and, two years later, joined the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as a clinical associate at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), thus beginning his fifty-four year mission to counter contagion. He climbed the ranks to become Deputy Director at NIAID in 1977 and Director in 1984, at the height of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the US. During this extended tenure in the public health sector, Fauci has advised every President since Ronald Regan.

So when Fauci was subpoenaed to attend the Senate hearing in July of this year (over three years after his retirement) what motivated this esteemed medical leader to keep shtum? What did he have to hide? A deep dive into his activities during his prolonged career would suggest a considerable amount.

The Egregious Actions of Anthony Fauci

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. – in his book (1), The Real Anthony Fauci: Bill Gates, Big Pharma, and the Global War on Democracy and Public Health – describes how Fauci (in his role as the head of NIAID) engaged in, or sanctioned, multiple activities that are – at best – reckless, often fraudulent, and sometimes downright criminal. Drawing on Kennedy’s narrative, the misdemeanours of America’s most celebrated doctor can be summarised under five categories:

1. SUPPRESSING EFFECTIVE, BUT NON-PROFITABLE, TREATMENTS

Fauci, in cahoots with his pharmaceutical collaborators, deliberately suppressed non-patented effective treatments so as to favour lucrative vaccines and more profitable drug-company medications. Two prominent examples of this malpractice occurred during the covid event, in regards to hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) and ivermectin (IVM), both low-cost drugs that would have threatened Big Pharma revenues should they have become widely utilised.

By May 2020, there was a robust evidence to support the efficacy, and safety, of HCQ in the treatment of the malady referred to as ‘Covid-19’. Yet Fauci insisted that it should not be used, falsely claiming that the support for it was only ‘anecdotal’. Other tactics deployed by Fauci and his financially conflicted associates to quash the use of HCQ included: asserting that the drug’s mechanism of action was not understood; conducting trials that either employed exceptionally high doses of HCQ or introduced it too late in the illness cycle to be effective; the imposition of restrictions on HCQ in many US states; insisting that it be used only in clinical trials; and threatening the many doctors who prescribed HCQ with withdrawal of their professional licences (Kennedy, 2021, p25-31).

Similar manoeuvres were used by Fauci and his pharmaceutical-company allies to discredit IVM, a safe and efficacious drug that – following its approval by America’s Food and Drug Administration in 1996 – had been widely used to counter human parasites. Since 2012, IVM had also been shown to be effective against many viruses, and by April 2020 there was robust empirical evidence for its benefits against ‘Covid-19’. Even a WHO-sponsored meta-analysis, in early 2021, was singing the drug’s praises. But then the Dr Fauci-inspired propaganda machine swung into action. When a journalist asked about the benefits of IVM, America’s top doctor said, ‘don’t do it … there’s no clinical evidence that it works’ and it is ‘poisoning’ Americans. Following Fauci’s lead, the public health bodies labelled IVM as no more than a horse de-wormer. And Dr Andrew Hill (the author of the WHO’s above-mentioned evidence review), clearly under intense pressure from these agencies, did a notorious volte-face, and advised against recommending the drug (Kennedy, 2021, p49-52).

2. PROMOTING DANGEROUS AND UNTESTED (BUT PROFITABLE) MEDICATIONS

Fauci’s chicanery was evident long before the covid event. In 1984, the scientist Richard Gallo identified a virus (later referred to as HIV) that he claimed was the primary cause of Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS). Although the link between HIV and AIDS was – and continues to be – a highly contentious one, Fauci saw it as a golden opportunity to attract huge amounts of state funding to build his NIAID empire. All he needed to do with the hundreds of millions of taxpayers’ dollars was to develop a drug or vaccine to counteract this contagion.

Campaigners advocating for AIDS victims had, throughout the early 1980s, pleaded with the NIAID leadership to rigorously evaluate – and make available – a number of off-label drugs that frontline doctors in AIDS hotspots were administering, purportedly with positive effects on the illness. One particularly promising medication was AL 721 but, under pressure from Big Pharma, Fauci stubbornly refused to incorporate it into NIAID drug trials; for Fauci and his associates only newly patented (and, therefore, lucrative) antivirals were worthy of consideration. Appallingly, the drug they opted for was azidothymidine (AZT), a concoction that had been developed in 1964 as a leukaemia chemotherapy, but ditched as it proved to be ineffective against cancer and lethal to mice. After intense pressure from Fauci and his pharmaceutical-company allies, in 1987 the regulators approved AZT as a treatment for AIDS on the back of a study that was – arguably – one of the most fraudulent drug trials of all time; this excuse for science involved: widespread data tampering, the routine deletion of adverse events, the selective allocation of the sickest patients to the placebo group, and the favourable treatment of the AZT group with more medical support and blood transfusions so as to keep them alive longer. Subsequently, Fauci encouraged the administration of this toxic drug to many healthy people who had merely tested HIV positive; in the words of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., ‘Dr Fauci’s fraud persuaded hundreds of thousands of people to take AZT … for many of them it was a lethal choice’ (Kennedy, 2021, p170).

During the covid event, Fauci and his loyal pharmaceutical associates deployed a similar playbook in the promotion of remdesivir, another toxic drug (even hospital nurses had dubbed it ‘Run-death-is-near’) that NIAID and the Centre for Disease Control (CDC) had invested $79 million in the Giliad drug company to develop. Remdesivir is a 1,000-times more expensive than the effective alternatives (IVM and HCQ) that Fauci suppressed, and had been found to be hideously dangerous in a previous trial for Ebola in which 54% of the recipients had died. Despite this dire safety record, in February 2020 Fauci pressed ahead and enrolled hospitalised covid patients for a trial of remdesivir, and – as a result of fraudulent research manoeuvres, including the use of a toxic placebo and changing the primary endpoint of the study in mid trial (Kennedy, 2021, p65) – the poisonous drug was subsequently approved by the regulators.

3. FRAUDULENT HANDLING OF VACCINE TRIALS AND MORBIDITY STATISTICS

Fauci’s involvement in sham science and the self-serving manipulation of data has not been restricted to AZT and remdesivir. He and his devotees in the medical-industrial complex have deployed these tactics both to inflate the apparent efficacy of their vaccines and other profitable medications, and to scare the general population into accepting these lucrative concoctions.

Throughout the covid era, Fauci and his collaborators repeatedly made ludicrously optimistic claims about the safety and efficacy of the covid vaccines. To present these potions in a favourable light, they utilised the following tactics:

  • Hiding the detection of long-term vaccine injuries by terminating a three-year trial at six months, and then vaccinating the control group;
  • Presiding over a fundamentally flawed ‘Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System’ (VAERS) which they knew would grossly underestimate the number of vaccine-damaged people;
  • Restricting the outputs of the media (mainstream and social) and medical journals so as to hide vaccine harms;
  • Allowing the Centre for Disease Control (CDC) to discourage autopsies in deaths following vaccination;
  • Populating the regulatory agencies and influential health organisations with Fauci loyalists so as to ensure the rubber-stamp approvals of the vaccines. (See Kennedy, 2021, p 72-76, for specific references).

To reap the riches of a patented drug, it is not enough to present the potion in a favourable light; one also requires a high demand for the merchandise. While promoting the ‘safe and effective’ narrative for Big Pharma’s products, Fauci and co. have also leveraged their mass acceptance by strategically inflating fear levels in the general population. In doing so, Fauci has expanded the power of his NIAID agency and multiplied the wealth of his pharmaceutical partners.

There have been many examples where Fauci has evoked irrationally high levels of fear among the populace. During the AIDS crisis of the 1980s, he egregiously claimed that the illness could be spread, not only by intravenous drug misuse and male/male intercourse, but also by casual contact ‘as within a family household’. This gross misrepresentation of AIDS as an imminent general pandemic triggered global hysteria, as illustrated, in 1987, by a member of President Ronald Regan’s AIDS Commission asking, ‘Could we be facing the threat of extinction in our lifetime?’ Fauci later confessed that there had never been a case detected where the disease had spread through ‘casual contact’.

Similar fear-inflation strategies have been evident in Fauci’s propensity to invent, or exaggerate the severity of, ‘pandemics’. In 2001, he foretold that bird flu was a ‘major public health threat’ that would ‘decimate global populations’; the worldwide mortality figure from 2003 to 2009 was 282. (Kennedy, 2021, p361). Fauci played a central role in pushing a fraudulent pandemic of Hong Kong Swine Flu (2009) that led to the championing of the notorious vaccine, Pandemrix, that caused severe neurological damage and culminated in many successful lawsuits (and the subsequent withdrawal of the vaccine). And in 2016, America’s top doctor falsely claimed that the Zika virus was causing an epidemic of microcephaly (a severe foetal brain defect) in new-born babies in Brazil.

During the covid era, Fauci-inspired scaremongering went into overdrive. In 2020, he spread the cataclysmic modelling predictions that overestimated US ‘coronavirus’ deaths by 525%. He ensured there would be numerous false positives of the (purportedly) diagnostic PCR test by permitting laboratories to run them at high amplitudes (over 35 cycles), a ploy that inevitably led to many patients being labelled as having ‘covid’ in the absence of live virus. Furthermore, Fauci colluded with the CDC’s inflation of ‘covid deaths’ by acquiescing to their deceptive changes to the protocols for completing death certificates – the CDC later admitted that only 6% of ‘covid deaths’ occurred in entirely healthy people, many of the remainder being riddled with potentially fatal co-morbidities (Kennedy, 2021, p4).

4. TARGETING THE UNDERPRIVILEGED FOR HIGHLY RISKY DRUG TRIALS

Arguably, Fauci’s most egregious act has concerned his propensity to permit the recruitment of vulnerable groups of people into the most dangerous drug trials, with children and impoverished Afro-Caribbeans often being the victims.

In 1990, the CDC conducted a study that involved the injection of an experimental measles vaccine into thousands of African babies, and also into over 1500 black and Hispanic infants in Los Angeles. There were subsequent reports of multiple deaths among the recipients, and an investigation later revealed that informed consent regulations had been violated. In a similarly reckless project, conducted in Uganda from 1997 to 2003, Fauci’s dedicated AIDS team concealed deaths & injuries when testing Nevirapine (a toxic chemotherapy drug); ‘thousands’ of bad reactions were not disclosed. Furthermore, in a study testing Nevirapine on pregnant women, Fauci and his research teams executed one of their favourite dodgy manoeuvres by comparing it with an AZT ‘placebo’ group; the toxic and ineffective drug was subsequently distributed to clinics and maternity wards in 53 developing nations.

Foster children in the US were also exploited in Fauci’s relentless pursuit of profitable AIDS drugs. In 2004, a series of secretive experiments were conducted on a vulnerable cohort of minors in New York and six other states in efforts to discover a lucrative successor to AZT. As shockingly revealed in a BBC documentary, ‘Guinea Pig Kids’, these experimental concoctions – many of which were already known to cause genetic mutation, brain damage, and body deformations – were forcibly given to those children who resisted. A comprehensive 2009 investigation reported that, during the twenty-year period in which Fauci’s NIAID experiments were conducted on African American & Latino children in foster care, 80 died.

Kennedy grimly summed up this phase of Fauci’s work as follows: ‘Dr Fauci experimented on infants & children who were never at risk of AIDS … he exposed them to deadly risks & agonising discomforts in a speculative drug & vaccine exercise that offered absolutely no potential benefits to them’ (Kennedy, 2021, p249).

5. SMEARING AND CANCELLING OPPOSITIONAL SCIENTISTS

Bloated with a $6.1 billion annual budget (as of 2020/21), Fauci’s NIAID empire became the primary source of funding for researchers and institutions working within the public health sphere. As such, Fauci and his associates habitually used their power and influence to make or destroy medical scientists’ careers. A high-profile example of this skulduggery concerns the attempts to smear and discredit the three eminent authors of the Great Barrington Declaration (GBD), a document – published in October 2020 – that challenged the effectiveness of lockdowns and was perceived by public health leaders to be a threat to the covid orthodoxy. Within days of the appearance of the GBD – in an email exchange between Dr Francis Collins (geneticist & former director of the US National Institutions of Health [NIH]) and Fauci – Collins pressed for a ‘quick and devastating published take down’ of the GBD proposal; Fauci concurred with this aspiration and responded with a link to an article that he (wrongly) claimed had already ‘debunked’ its recommendations. During their subsequent email communications – much of it redacted, so we can only speculate as to the nature and tone of the deleted content – the three eminent scientists who wrote the GBD are referred to as ‘fringe epidemiologists’.

In the late 1980s, Professor Peter Duisberg (a distinguished molecular biologist and cancer expert) was another victim of Fauci’s propensity to smear and cancel. Duisberg’s crime had been to write a scholarly article that highlighted the fundamental flaws in the mainstream assertion that HIV caused AIDS. Perceiving this narrative as a serious threat to his NIAID funding, Fauci orchestrated an egregious campaign that labelled Duisberg and his supporters as ‘denialists and murderers’. Subsequently, the NIH halted his research funding, and he was banished by the science journals.

Clearly, in Fauci’s kingdom, dissent will not be tolerated.

Undoubtedly, Fauci is a serial offender, with a history of misconduct that Voldemort would be proud of. While engaging in multiple egregious and self-serving activities, the US’s infection control Tsar has failed – resoundingly – to improve the health of the population he is supposedly there to serve. Despite billions of dollars of NIAID funding, Fauci’s department could not deliver a safe and effective HIV vaccine. During his time in office the prevalence of autism and autoimmune disorders surged; US children are now the sickest in American history. And its citizens are the globe’s most overmedicated population. His championing of unprecedented and non-evidenced infection-control interventions throughout the covid era – mass masking, locking down the healthy, closing down schools and businesses, discouraging hospital attendance until patients’ turned blue – resulted in the US suffering one of the highest ‘covid death’ rates in the world.

Yet despite this dire record, for 38 years Fauci occupied the elevated position of NIAID director and has been hero worshipped, referred to affectionately by many as ‘America’s Doctor’. How has he managed to pull this off?

Undoubtedly, Fauci has, throughout his career, been an astute political operator, shaping executive decisions in favour of his own NIAID department. He was – apparently – a charismatic and (in his younger days) handsome figure, who never lacked self-confidence; indeed, in the twilight of his tenure in office he clearly relished his celebrity status, boasting in 2021 that he was ‘the most famous and talked about person in the country and one of the most recognizable’, and that ‘attacks on me are attacks on science’.

Another reason for his longevity, and his success in influencing others, has been the chameleon-like way he has expressed contradictory opinions to suit the occasion. In 1989, when attracting intense criticism from AIDS campaigners and senators for his refusal to evaluate several promising off-label drugs, Fauci briefly pivoted – stating NIAID would now test these generic medications – only to resort back to his previous obstinate stance when, shortly after, his lucrative AZT drug was approved by the FDA. Similarly he flip-flopped on mask wearing during the covid event, initially (in his emails and interviews) advising against them, and later urging everyone to don one (or even two). He displayed another U-turn on covid vaccines, stating in 2020 that, ‘You don’t want to mandate and try and force anyone to take a vaccine’, and then the following year insisting that the US should seriously consider enforcing a vaccine mandate for domestic air travel.

But – without any question – the fundamental reason for Fauci’s durability has been his habitual deployment of NIAID’s copious funding to shape the behaviour and decision-making of other key actors and organisations within the medical-industrial complex. In particular, his symbiotic relationship with commercial drug companies has been pivotal in enabling him to dominate public health policy and to retain his lofty position as leader of America’s fight against infectious diseases – Robert F. Kennedy Jr described NIAID as a ‘seamless subsidiary of the pharmaceutical industry’ (Kennedy, 2021, p118) and (in one of his more memorable quotes) said that the key to Fauci’s longevity was ‘his capacity to curry favour with these merchants of pills, powders, potions, poisons, pesticides, pollutants, & pricks’ (Kennedy, 2021, pXXII).

With his NIAID coffers bloated with a regular stream of state funding, together with lucrative collaborations with both the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the Wellcome Trust, Fauci controlled 57% of global biomedical research funding, furnishing him unparalleled levels of (direct and indirect) control over the key players within the public health domain. From the 1980s, Fauci was able to fund a comprehensive network of ‘primary investigators’ (PIs), all with close links to the pharmaceutical industry, to undertake drug trials and act as his lobbyists and mouthpiece; by 2021, NIAID controlled $7.6 billion of research money which was mainly distributed to PIs. These PIs occupy formal positions within medical boards, university departments, drug approval panels, and public agencies, enabling Fauci and his collaborators disproportionate sway over these influential bodies. Furthermore, with the unconditional support of Big Pharma, he was able to exert some degree of influence over the outputs of the medical journals and – through alliances with media moguls – he was enabled both to keep journalists in line and muzzle many of his critics.

So, in the final analysis, the enigma that is Dr Anthony Fauci – the egregious failure who dominated the US public health sphere for almost half a century – can largely be attributed to his unparalleled proficiency in attracting huge levels of funding and deploying this bounty to control others.

Final Thoughts

As previously stated, much of the information for this critique has been sourced from the book, ‘The Real Anthony Fauci’. Given that the author, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., is regarded by many as an ‘anti-vaxxer’, some readers may question the reliability of the content and dismiss his critique as being the testimony of a man with a grievance against Fauci (the embodiment of the pandemic industry). But I believe that such a snap judgement would be misplaced. There are two compelling reasons to accept the validity of Kennedy Jr.’s criticisms. First, the book is meticulously referenced, with numerous links to specific sources of evidence to support his accusations. Second – and even more persuasive – is the fact that neither Fauci, nor Bill Gates (who is equally incriminated in the book), have filed lawsuits against the author; it is reasonable to conclude that, if the defamatory criticisms were unfounded, these powerful men would have sued Kennedy in the five years since publication. Their decision not to do so provides a resounding endorsement of the veracity of the book’s content.

The overarching conclusion? Dr Anthony Fauci does, indeed, epitomise all that is wrong with the pandemic industry.
